Where is dark delvings

Views Read View source View history. Help Discord. The Twenty-first Hall. This quest appears periodically throughout the week along with other repeatable Moria instance quests. Defeat Gurvand in the 6-man instance Dark Delvings. This requires that you go into Dark Delvings. Twice we've tried to beat the second boss in there and twice we've failed and failed and failed and gave up with huge repair bills.

We're not going in there with the perfect group. We've got some kinmates and a pug or two to fill out the group. We expect it to be hard. But we don't expect it to be impossible to beat without the perfect set up.

This is a dungeon with a class quest! If you're going to be handing out quests like that, it needs to be doable by even casual players. The most frustrating part is that we can't find any reliable information about this dungeon anywhere.

Everything seems to be guesswork or is woefully incomplete. We have little idea going in what's going to happen or what tools and skills we can use to our advantage. I kept dieing due to having my power completely drained and no longer being able to heal at all but this part of the encounter wasn't mentioned anywhere in any guide or discussion about the boss we could find.

We don't know what exactly is doing it, if it happens at a certain time, if it can be avoided. We don't know anything.

And my kinmate still doesn't have his class quest done. Is he just going to have to try and find the perfect group with the perfect setup for this dungeon before he can complete his quest? If so this is completely ridiculous. It feels like a kick in the teeth to casual players who just want to be able to get their deeds and quests done. I hope in the future Turbine remembers its casual players when designing class quests.

You can work around the edge of the room over to where the crawler is summoned. Trigger Nightshade and kill him. The Boss will eat popcorn and watch quietly.

I believe the Warden quest works the same way. You can go around the boss to back side. Start up the Nameless guy - The Mad Captain. Forget about the second Boss. A lot of Turbine quests have two ways to do them: 1 Obvious straight up the middle.

Rambo Style. For those folks that like a challenge. Go around. For the - I do not want my fur pulled out in tuffs. Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.

Join Date Dec Posts Re: Really Frustrated by Dark Delvings The warden class quest is not in the same room as the guardian quest the guard quest is in the first boss room, and the warden quest is in the second boss room. I'm pretty certain you definitely need to start the boss fight to use the item that activates the warden's quest as it is right next to where the boss is standing.

You might be able to kill the warden boss while 1 or 2 people keep the other boss and whatever adds you initially get busy by kiting them in the light or something. This is probably going to be harder than actually just killing the boss and doing the warden quest after though.

Start off standing in the dark. Then everyone run to an area that remains lit. Run to the new light and repeat. You definitely do not need a perfect set-up to complete this quest.

If not though, its just as easy to kill the adds or even kite them in the light. Note that darklings shouldn't be allowed to get close to the boss or bad things can happen a heal or debuff I think? Some annoying things can happen. For some reason, in the last wave there are often no lights that remain on, so you have to fight in the dark people have lots of theories about how to avoid this, but I'm pretty sure its just luck. Also, there are a variety of different adds you can get 1 big world eater, various nameless mobs, or a bunch of darklings.

Some of the waves are much easier than others, so sometimes you can have much easier runs than other times if you get tough mobs in the last wave along with no lights, it can be extremely tough to survive.

Any sigs, elites, EMs, and the boss as well will frequently need interrupting. The boss has a big aoe that he does interruptable , as well as a very large self heal interruptable. The world eater has a few annoying interruptable attacks I think its probably one of these that drained your power. Almost all classes have a way to interrupt kick, clobber, addle, any stuns or dazes, etc, etc - just make sure everyone is using them. If things are going bad, you can very easily kite mobs by running in circles in the light all the mobs, including the boss, get a slow debuff in the light.

Join Date May Posts I forget which abilities are activated with which adds, but the most dangerous attack a powerful AoE that might well one-shot you all is easy to spot because the boss gets a corruption on him. If you ever see a corruption on him, get it off ASAP.

It's the same attack just more powerful that snarling overseers do, so if you want to know what you're looking for, watch what the overseers do. It's easy to prevent.

As mentioned above, you can CC adds, so if a world eater spawns, mez it and just concentrate on the boss. If 2 headless spawn, maybe mez one and kill the other interrupt these too so they don't summon more adds.

If overseers spawn you might want to kill all of them because they're the most dangerous and they're only signatures. If darklings spawn, just kill them before they reach the boss. If you have no CC abilities, just have someone off-tank adds.

And always have someone watching the boss, ready to interrupt and remove corruptions. First boss: Void Eater That boss it's as easiest that can be even Duo, look the screenshot of me and Saithis xD Imagine that room like the top of a mountain, if you fight in the top it's ok but if you are throwed down you gotta find a way to go up and fight again.

Be sure that everyone it's in the "top of the mountain" before engaging boss because the bridge would dissapear when battle starts. There will be 3 relics in the room that Void Eater will destroy eventually, be sure to fight always in the light of one of them until he destroys all 3, at that point just kill him as soon as possible.

This boss will make Knockback and he will reset if he's chasing you too far, that combination can be annoying because he would Auto-Reset himself, throwing you far with a knocback and chasing you that far, anyway there's a way to prevent that and it's having your back against a rune.

Eventually someone in your group will touch a white thread and spawns some worms, kill them asap and the boss is piece of cake. After boss is dead, the Guardians can summon a 70k morale Worm for their class quest, not a challenge.

Wardens can summon a Some more pulls and you will get to the next big room, the second boss starts there. Second boss: Doom Speaker That fight is tricky but can be easily done, the room where u will fight will have 5 runes of light, one on each corner and one in the center. Each wave of adds will give him a buff until next wave, depending of the type of adds.
